Gift block is not appearing on storefront pages
If your gift block isn't showing on your storefront, or if Wrapped is not working in your theme – review the following list to ensure everything is turned on, and the correct settings are being saved.
Activate the app in your theme editor
Gift blocks will not appear in your storefront if the app has not been activated in the theme editor.
- Visit the themes section in Wrapped to see your theme library
- Press the button Activate or Customize beside the theme you are working on. This step is often overlooked and is the most important for gift blocks to appear in your storefront.
- You must press Save to activate.
Gift option status must be active
The gift option must be set to Active to appear in your storefront pages. Draft gift options do are not published.
- Visit the Gift option settings page in Wrapped
- Set the status to Active
- You must press Save to activate.
Gift product must be published to the online store
💡 Note: For stores using Wrapped gift options in Advanced mode.
The gift product must be published to the online store.
This is required by Shopify so the gift option can be charged a fee and added as a line-item to the order details.
Gift product must have inventory available
💡 Note: For stores using Wrapped gift options in Advanced mode.
When using gift options in advanced mode, you must ensure the connected gift product has inventory available, or is set to continue selling when out of stock (verify this in the Shopify products admin for each gift variant).
- If all gift variants are out of stock – the gift block will not appear.
- If certain gift variants are out of stock, they may be hidden or disabled via gift option settings.
Gift product must be available in markets
💡 Note: For stores using Wrapped gift options in Advanced mode.
For stores using Shopify markets to service international customers. The gift product must be available in the market to ensure the gift blocks appear. If the gift product is not in the market the gift block will remain hidden. This is not for stores using gift options in Basic mode.
Gift block must be turned on
The gift block must be turned on in your gift option settings. This allows you to decide where to offer gift options in your storefront. Turn off to hide, turn on to show.
- The cart drawer gift block appears in your slide-out drawer. This gift block is only used on cart drawers for theme-based or supported app-based solutions.
Check for the Wrapped visibility tag
Products that have been tagged with the Wrapped visibility tag will not offer gift options, and will not show the gift block. If the product has been tagged this way, you must remove the tag for the gift block to appear.

If you have verified the above and are still unable to see gift blocks on your storefront, you can try some alternative approaches:
Add an app block in your theme editor
For Product page and for Cart page only.
Note: Custom themes or themes from outside the Shopify theme store may be outdated and unable to support app blocks. Your theme must support app blocks to use this method.
- View your Cart page or Product page in the theme editor
- In the side panel, press "Add block"
- Select Gifting for Orders if on the Cart page
- Select Gifting for Products if on the Product page
- Drag the block to your desired position
You must press Save to publish
Reposition the app block on your page in the theme editor

Note: A paid plan may be required for setup on certain complex custom themes as this requires developer time to setup the app. This is a free and complementary service for stores on paid plans.

Use Developer Tools
Manually add a custom selector for the gift block.
When using a custom theme, the Developer Tools feature allows skilled professionals to manually set the perfect positioning for each gift block.
Note: This option is for skilled Shopify Partners / Shopify Developers only. Wrapped support is unable to assist if the wrong value is entered. Instead you must clear the value and contact the Wrapped support team.
